SK Telecom to Deploy Nationwide HSDPA Network in Korea

Korean SK Telecom has decided to make an additional investment of 240 billion Won (US$252.7 million; US$1 = 949.7 Won) in deploying a nationwide 3.5G HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) network. SK Telecom's HSDPA investment in 2006 will thus total 810 Won (US$852.9 million). Construction on the network is projected to be completed by the first half of 2007, further expanding the company's planned HSDPA network in 84 cities by the end of October, 2006.
